Specialist Forklift, MEWP and Crane Training
GH Training provides practical on-site training for specialist forklifts, mobile elevating work platforms and overhead lifting equipment across the North West, North Wales and West Yorkshire.
We support businesses using equipment that falls outside ordinary counterbalance and reach-truck requirements. Training is matched to the machine category, operator experience, workplace conditions and the tasks employees will perform.

Slinger and Signaller Training
Training is available by enquiry for employees who select lifting accessories, attach loads or direct crane movements. Requirements are reviewed against the lifting equipment, accessories, loads and responsibilities involved.
Coordinated Training for Employers
Businesses do not always need a single isolated course. GH Training can help coordinate a wider programme covering several equipment categories, departments, shifts or operator groups.
This can include:
- Reviewing equipment categories and operator experience
- Separating novice, experienced, conversion and refresher requirements
- Planning courses around production and shift arrangements
- Coordinating suitable instructors across several dates
- Maintaining clear evidence of training for each operator and category
- Identifying machine-specific familiarisation and employer-authorisation needs
Training at Your Workplace
Specialist training is normally delivered at the customer's premises using the equipment and working environment employees will encounter.
The customer will usually need to provide:
- Safe and serviceable equipment
- Manufacturer operating instructions
- Relevant inspection and examination information
- A controlled practical training area
- Representative loads, pallets or lifting accessories
- Appropriate personal protective equipment
- Sufficient time for instruction, practice and assessment
We will confirm the exact requirements before the course begins.
