GH Training provides practical forklift, material-handling equipment and workplace safety training at customer premises across the North West, North Wales and West Yorkshire.
Our instruction is backed by more than 20 years of hands-on forklift experience in warehouses, engineering businesses and food-production environments, together with 10 years working around lifting operations as a slinger/signaller and crane supervisor.
As an AITT Accredited Training Provider, we combine recognised training standards with genuine operational knowledge.

Practical Experience Behind the Training
Good operator training requires more than explaining controls or following a standard presentation.
GH Training’s practical background includes work involving:

Training Delivered at Your Workplace
Courses are normally delivered at customer premises using the equipment and environment relevant to the operators.
Workplace delivery allows training to consider:
- The equipment employees will use
- Normal pallets, loads and attachments
- Internal and external operating areas
- Warehouse aisles and racking
- Loading and unloading locations
- Pedestrian and vehicle routes
- Parking, charging and refuelling arrangements
- Site rules and reporting procedures
Training must still take place within a suitable controlled area, away from unsafe production or traffic pressures.
AITT-Accredited Operator Training
GH Training is an AITT Accredited Training Provider.
Accredited training provides employers with a structured course and assessment process covering the relevant equipment category and operator level.
Courses can include:
- Theoretical instruction
- Practical demonstration
- Supervised operating exercises
- Pre-use inspection
- Relevant operator assessment
- Evidence of successful training
Accreditation does not remove the employer’s responsibility to provide suitable equipment, job-specific instruction, workplace familiarisation and formal authorisation.

Employer Responsibilities
Successful completion of a training course does not transfer control of workplace safety to the instructor.
Employers remain responsible for:
- Providing safe and suitable equipment
- Maintaining and inspecting equipment
- Controlling the training area
- Providing specific job instruction
- Completing workplace familiarisation
- Managing pedestrians and workplace traffic
- Formally authorising operators
- Monitoring continuing performance
- Responding to accidents and near misses
- Arranging further training when required
