Novice Training
For employees with no previous operating experience or formal training. Novice courses develop knowledge and practical ability progressively before assessment.

Conversion Training
For trained operators moving to a different truck category with different controls, steering or load-handling characteristics.

Counterbalance and Reach Truck Training
Counterbalance forklifts are commonly used for vehicle loading, yard work and moving materials around warehouses or production areas.
Reach trucks are primarily used to stack and retrieve palletised loads within warehouse racking systems.
Each category requires suitable training. Completing a course on one type of forklift does not automatically qualify an operator to use every other truck.
What Happens During Training?
Course content varies according to the equipment and operator level but normally includes:
